EM-217 (WED) is a smooth, water-based, light gray, fine grain, slow drying clay that is an excellent sculpting medium for mockup design, modeling and mask making—a favorite among sculptors. It cannot be fired and requires moisture maintenance during use. Originally developed for Walter E. Disney studios, it remains a favorite material among professionals for cinematic and theater prop creation.
Water Clay is non-sticky, inexpensive clay, comprised of water, mineral fillers and special additives that provide excellent tooling abilities for sculptors and modelers. Use water to smooth-out surface and keep clay covered—plastic wrap/damp towel—when not in use. Unlike KC clays, it will harden and dry out if not properly stored in a semi-airtight enclosure.
