General Purpose Bondo
Bondo is used for filling or patching surfaces on fiberglass tools, parts, and molds. This highly filled polyester resin has low shrinkage and is easily sandable. Use supplied Hardener@ 2%.
Color: Yellowish-Green
Viscosity: Light Creamy Paste
Mix Ratio: 100 base to 2% BPO Hardener by Weight
Volume: Golf ball size amount with 1.5”bead of hardener
Set Time: 3 – 5 Minutes @ 77F
Directions:
Prepare surfaces by removing old paint or roughing surfaces with 40 – 80 grit sand paper. Clean final surface of dirt, oils, grease, and wax with acetone solvent. Apply a thin coat to prepped surface, pressing firmly into surface for good adhesion. Using Resin Scraper, apply material to surface. Now, before material fully hardens, apply final layers to fill repair or patch. Mixtures of SLR-22 Laminiating Resin can be added to create a more spreadable mixture for creative build-ups. Sand surface within 20- 30minutes with coarse grit paper to knock down surface or shape, then finish with a fine grit. Prime and paint surface 24 hours later. Check paint recommendations for resin surfaces.
