Latex Cure Accelerator (RL-CN)
RL-CN is nitrate crystal that is dissolved in water to create a dip or spray accelerant solution for latex. RL-CN will reduce the drying time of latex by 50%. Allow the final coat to dry 24 hours. De-mold and wash latex in warm soapy water solution and rinse to remove any residue of RL-CN.
Mix Ratio
RL-CN: 15% by weight
Ratio to Water: 80% by weight
Alcohol (IPA): 5% improves drying time
When applying solution, allow the latex surface to dry to a dull surface finish. This will allow the dried rubber surface to bond to the next coat. Coating prematurely will cause delaminating between layers. If RL-CN puddles, use hair dryer to blow liquid solution away from the pooling area. A higher rate of shrinkage will result from this process.
